Sadie recently took part in the Landmark Sky Arts show, creating a copper public landmark. The sculpture ‘ Home of the Rose’ was then installed at Grizedale Forest in the Lake District. It will be a permanent sculpture as part of the art trail with over 50 sculptures to view.
Home of the Rose is grounded by Yorkshire dry stone walling that anchors the copper rose mobile. From the profile, the sculpture takes an abstract form beneath the mobile the Yorkshire rose is revealed. Sadie created this piece of art to represent her Yorkshire roots. Standing underneath the copper offers a space for rejuvenation, along with its many other incredible properties, copper is a spiritual conductor.
